Cool roof tiles are made up of natural occurring white minerals which having high solar reflectance materials to reflect the sunlight which falls on the roof. In simple terms the sunlight falls on the roof will get reflected back to the atmosphere. By reflecting the sunlight back and preventing it from penetrating into the roof the heat absorbed by the roof get reduced which results in the lesser temperature inside the house. This method of preventing the heat by sunlight which falls on the roof top by using the white roof tiles are commonly called as cool roof tiles.
